Fusion Challenge 4th Anniversary

I have a super quick card today for the Fusion Challenge. They're celebrating their 4th Anniversary this go round so I wanted to be able to join in.  While I don't get to participate in every challenge each and every time, Fusion is one I like to check out and join in on as often as possible.

For today's card, I did a fusion between the sketch and the inspiration Photo by combining some elements from each; the linear parts of the sketch with the colors and rustic elements of the photo. 

I started with a piece of weathered wood patterned paper and colored one "board" with a Copic marker to mimic the painted wood in the photo. Taking a piece of 4.25 x 5.5 inch Smokey Shadow Cardstock, I put vertical score lines in it.  Then I added the patterned paper to the cardstock with adhesive and die cut the whole thing with a stitched rectangle die. I also cut three of the grey Memory Box Stitched Hearts and glued them together to make a thicker element and a slightly smaller Stitched Heart from the same set using scraps of the wood grained paper.

Next, I die cut a banner from White Cardstock and using the Happy Valentine's Day Sentiment from Papertrey's Enclosed: Heart set, stamped the greeting in Versamark and heat set it with Judikins Detail Silver Embossing Powder.  This is not a fine or superfine powder so I didn't want to risk trying to double emboss.  It came out very well, it's just hard to see in the photograph.  I assembled the card with Kokuyo Adhesive and finished off with some touches of Nuvo Drops in Gloss Carribean Ocean and Gloss Ebony Black. This card would work well for one of the men or boys in your life and I have someone in mind already. It was fast and easy to make.
