Let's get on to the projects, shall we? First up, I have a card that uses the Beveled Squares Stencil to create the background for my first card. Since we had an Altenew Educator Blog Hop last month featuring stencils, I am finding that I'm reaching for those more often than I did before. They are such a great way to make a perfectly coordinating background for your projects.
On the first card, I stamped the peony in Frosty Pink, Coral Berry, and Ruby Red from the Red Cosmos Collection. For the foliage, I stamped in my still favorite, Green Field Collection using Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen. I stamped the "wishing you were here" sentiments onto white cardstock and heat embossed with Antique Gold Embossing Powder. I used some pink pearls to accent my card. I love the Build-A-Flower Series because it has the stamps and coordinating dies in a set.
During this time of COVID-19, it's nice to have some cards to send to my girlfriends letting them know I miss them like crazy!
Next up is a card I made using the same stencil only this time I die cut it with the Nesting Ovals Dies so that I could pop it up on foam tape and add some dimension to it.
This time I used the inks from the Green Meadows Collection for the foliage in Minty Mint, Sweet Leaf, and Just Green.
This time I stamped the bloom in Dew Drops. Aqualicious, and Teal Cave from the Sweet Dreams Collection of inks.
There are large and small intersections created when using the Beveled Squares Stencil. At the small intersections, I added a little jewel to each intersection to help it really pop out.
This set is very easy to line up and makes for a pretty quick and easy card. I love that all of the Altenew Build-A-Flower sets come with the coordinating dies.
