Lilith Eeckels Blog! Using a darker pink (Purple Wine, I went back over the large bloom and the mini ink blending tool to concentrate the color more towards the center of the bloom where it would naturally be darker.
Let's take a look at today's projects! First up I have a few cards using the new Sweet Flowers Stamps and Dies. This set is super easy to line up and I love how it makes a spray without having to take a lot of extra time to assemble a bouquet. It contains an outline image if you want to watercolor the image, or in my case, I used pale grey ink to stamp the outline for just a simple guideline to use for coloring the flowers. By leaving the outline in my Mini Misti, once I was finished stamping the layers I put it back in and then stamped with Versamark and heat embossed the outline with Antique Gold Embossing Powder.
That brings us to my first project! I seem to be on a blue kick lately and My favorite Set of Blues is the Sweet Dreams Collection. I stamped the florals in Aqualicious for the lighter shade and Galactic Stream for the deeper shade. The greenery was stamped with Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades from the Green Fields Collection.
I also used some of the Altenew A Love For Stripes Collection A Paper Pack. I wanted to keep the card simple while adding some visual interest. I used a sentiment from the stamp set, heat embossed on white cardstock, and cut with a smaller die from the Nesting Labels Die Set.
I always like to add a bit of glam to my cards so some sequins and jewels add a nice finishing touch.
For my next project, I wanted to use some pinks with this same set and really jazz it up with some gold and pearls. The background panel is from some really OLD paper stash and has a gold glitter swirl pattern on it.
I have a specific person in mind with this card and she loves Pink and Gold as well. For these blooms, I used Pinkalicious and Razzleberry from the Cherry Blossom Collection of inks.
I used foam tape behind the flowers and sentiment as I did on the previous card to give that extra dimension.
This time, because there was already a lot of bling going on, I toned down my accents to just some glossy pearl embellishments.
For this card, I wanted to use the Altenew Nesting Ovals Dies for my sentiment as I never seem to have enough birthday cards around. The Sentiment is from the Sakura Blossom Set.
By cutting off some of the blooms from the single stem, I was able to arrange the florals around the oval-shaped sentiment. I mounted the sentiment on foam tape for some dimension.
I also added some pink pearls to the card and the sentiment for a pretty feminine touch. I used the A Love For Stripes Paper Pack A for the background panel in the slightly smaller than A2 size with Gld Cardstock for the larger background panel.
Next up I used the new Festive Clusters Die Set to create a holiday card in rich red and green with gold.
I love the look of die-cut inlay and so I did some of that on this card. First I die cut the Clusters from Gold Cardstock.
Next, I dry embossed the die impression onto the piece of red shimmer cardstock. I die cut the cluster again from green cardstock and fit each of those pieces into the outline leaving the poinsettia and rose red. I added some Nuvo Drops in the color Seashell for the mistletoe berries.
My next project uses the Simple Roses Stamps, Dies, and Masks Stencil. One of the samples in the stamp set showed this set used on black cardstock and I really liked the look of it, so I followed that direction for my card. I used a matte black cardstock called "Curious Skin" for the background panel.
To begin, I heat embossed all of the images onto white cardstock using Versamark and Altenew Antique Gold Embossing Powder.
Then using a new little tool from Altenew, I used the stencil to color in various parts of the flowers. These little tools are about an inch or so in diameter and are perfect for this application. They clean up with soap and water and you just allow them to air dry.
I started with Baby Pink all over the large bloom. Next, I went in with my Puffy Heart Artist Marker and colored in the folds of the petals using that color.
I used another tool for the green leaves with Forest Glades Ink. and used what was left on my other ink blending tool to blend color for the base of the small blooms to the top, concentrating heavier at the base and lightening the pressure as I stroked upwards to the tips of the petals.
For the sentiment, I used one included with this stamp set and I added a few lilac-colored pearls for the finishing touch.
