Since early this year when Gina was at Creativation in January, I have been wanting to have time to make one of these beautiful wreaths in a frame for my craft room. I decided it was high time I took time to sit and make one using the Memory MISTI/Mega Wreath Builder Bundle that is available in the Gina K Designs Store.
This bundle is a really great value since the Memory Misti is normally $99.00 by itself. If you stamp on 12 x 12 Scrapbook pages, this is a must-have item. When you order this bundle through Gina K Designs, you also get the Mega Wreath Builder Templates along with it which is around a $20.00 value. It's a lot of bang for your buck, which I always appreciate! I was super excited to get to use it to make a beautiful home decor piece for my Studio.
I used the Vibrant Blooms Stamp Set along with the Crafty and Creative Mini Stamp Set to make my wreath. I started by stamping the leafy stem in Turquoise Sea Ink all the way around. Then I stamped the little floral sprig all the way around using Plum Punch Ink. I did single color Copic coloring using BG01 for the leafy stems. This was a light enough color to let the Darker Color of the stamped outlines to still be seen.
Next, I used four shades of Violet Copic Markers to color in the petals and leaves on the floral stems; V04, V06, V09, and V12. Starting at the base of the flower petals, I did tiny flicks of each color, working from dark to light, out to the tips of the petals.
I heat embossed the sentiment from "Crafty & Creative" with Gina K Designs Detail Gold Embossing Powder and colored in the little paintbrush with V09.
Once that was done, I felt it could use another image, so I stamped one of the leaves all the way around in Tranquil Teal, then colored it in with BG05, BG13, BG15, and BG49, working from the ends to the center on each leaf so that the lightest portion would be in the center. I hope that makes sense. I'm not very good or experienced with any Alcohol Markers, so I just do the best I can. I'm very happy with these results.
The frame actually came with a white mat, but I covered it with some Teal Cardstock left from my days as a Creative Memories Consultant which really made it pop!
My next project is done with Products from Ink On 3; Bad & Boujee Stamps and Bad & Boujee Coordinating Dies. My BFF calls me the "Bling Boss" so I knew right away that I wanted to make a card for her. The bottle in this set looks exactly like her favorite perfume bottle which is Coco Mademoiselle from Chanel. She teases me a bit about my love for foiled and glittered lip toppers and eye shadows. Of course, we both love diamond bling. I would love to have a pink diamond, but they are very rare to begin with, so will never be in the budget. And I'm pretty sure she is going to get a marriage proposal this year, so I had to add the gemstones to the cards for each of us. It's just something a little bit fun to send her. We see each other as often as possible now that we are back in Texas, but her boyfriend takes up a lot of her time, so we don't see each other as often as we might want! This will just be something a little fun to send her in the mail.
I stamped the images with Versamark and then heat set them. I used my Zigs to color in the images with a bit of water and added a nice layer of Liquid Pixie Dust with my water brush at the end. Once the images were dry, I die cut them and heat embossed the sentiment using stamps from the set. I matted the center panel with some gold foiled cardstock and then used an alcohol inked background panel from my stash of previously made panels. It has various shades of pink and gold alcohol inks to go with all the shimmer and shine.
